Garam masala basically means "hot spice". In india it is traditionally used to prepare currys.
The original mixtures contain some ingredients common for the ayurvedic healing and are known to heat up the body. These key spices are cinnamon, cloves, black pepper and cumin.
Ingredients: Coriander, mustard seeds, cumin, fenugreek, cloves, pepper, cinnamon, anise, ginger, garlic and caraway seeds.
To preserve aroma and taste all herbs and spices should be kept in a cool and dry place preferably protected from light.
