As far back as in her youth Susanna already started making her own Sambal with a decent portion of passion. Together with her family she grew her own chilis, to be precise Rawit and Habanero, on a coffee plantation near the foot of a volcano on the island of Java. Nowadays she is over 80 years old and has passed her wisdom on to her grandchildren.
Susanna's Sweet Indonesian Sambal has a fine sweetness and a pleasant heat level. It is a great addition to any cooking or marinading. Most people just enjoy it exactly the way it was made.
